Amarnath Yatra is a magical journey to the holy cave at 14000 feet above sea level on the Himalayas where Lord Shiva is in the form of a Lingam formed by a stalagmite. Nestled in a narrow gorge at the farther end of Lidder Valley, Amarnath Cave is 140 KMs from Srinagar in the state of Jammu & Kashmir and attracts thousand of Pilgrims every year despite the hostile conditions.
